National cyber competition for young people launches January 20th

The National Matrix Challenge is a free UK cyber competition for 11-17 year olds, led by the Cyber Prevent network, aimed at encouraging young people to develop their cyber skills with a view to following a career in cyber. The online based qualification stage will be live between Monday 20th January – Friday 14th February 2020.
The Matrix Challenge starts as a self-contained online game available at home, in schools, clubs or anywhere you have access to a laptop & is free to enter. In the spring, the top scorers for each region will then be invited to compete in a regionally held Semi-Final, which we’ll be running for the South West. If successful, they’ll move on to the Final for an opportunity to further showcase their skills and win some fantastic prizes!
We would really appreciate anyone raising awareness of this amazing initiative, so if you know anyone between the ages 11-17, then please point them to the official website at https://www.matrix-challenge.uk/
