Wanted man arrested in Calais after trying to re-enter UK
A man wanted on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis from the West Midlands to Gloucester has been arrested in Calais, brought back to the South West and charged with the offence.
Asim Khan, 35, from Fulham Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham appeared at Gloucester Magistrates’ Court today (10 October) and has been remanded in custody.
Officers from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SW ROCU) marked Khan as wanted on the Police National Computer as part of an investigation in 2017. He was stopped by officers in Calais on Monday night.
He is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 8 November.
